“Resident Evil: Afterlife” Will Be ‘Sick’ Says Star
If you’re a fan of Milla Jovovich, you’ll be able to get up close and personal with the Ukrainian-born model and actress when Resident Evil: Afterlife is released. The fourth instalment in the video game adaptation series will be in 3D, with Milla and her co-stars – Heroes actress Ali Larter and Prison Break’s Wentworth Miller – leaping out of the screen at the audience.
And Jovovich promises viewers they will love the immersive experience.
She said: “I’m blown away by the things that I’ve seen so far that we’ve done – I mean, we’re flipping out doing it, so I would imagine people will flip out seeing it. It’s in 3D, which is making this movie just come to life in a way that none of the other films can even pretend to, because it’s sucking the audience in,” she said. “It is just the most action-packed, the most crazy, full-on experience that you could imagine from a Resident Evil movie. I think it’s going to be ‘sick’!”
Milla means ‘sick’ in the slang sense of awesome or excellent, of course. She added that after playing superhuman security officer Alice in four Resident Evil films, the character has become a part of her.
“I’m attached to her now. Now I feel in a sense like it’s family. It’s really kind of become such a huge part of my world, and the training process, and being able to just to go through all these adventures, it’s a lot of fun,” she told Entertainment Tonight.

Take a look at a newly released clip featuring Ali Larter from the upcoming film, “Resident Evil: Afterlife.” The latest installment of the franchise hits theatres, September 10th.
Heroes star Ali Larter has been talking to SFX about her return to the world of Resident Evil in the fourth film, Afterlife, and she has some tantalizing things to say about the action in the film:
“I think what’s really cool is that [director] Paul [WS Anderson] came back. Paul knows what you want. If you’re a fan of Resident Evil, he knows how to deliver what excites you within the franchise. For example, there’s so much that was pulled from the videogame in this movie. Some of our stunts were choreographed beat by beat from what’s in the videogame. I’m wearing the outfit that I wore in the videogame. That’s the kind of fun stuff that he brings to it.
“But Paul also introduced this interesting element. When you meet Claire [Redfield – Larter’s character], she’s become someone that has to survive at all costs and she has to overcome some memory loss. She starts to figure out who she can trust. There’s a lot of that going on in this movie. Claire’s tough and strong and has a rough edge to her, and she’s very selfless and has always found a way to survive in all situations but help others, and you watch her have to crack a little bit when she meets her brother. It definitely is not a family reunion where it’s like, ‘Oh, so great to see you!’ It’s ‘I’m gonna fucking kick your ass if you say you’re my brother and you’re not.’ So it’s a family reunion done Resident Evil style.”

Decked out in a nearly see-through “rocker-black” Versace number, Ali Larter said she and her husband love visiting kids in the hospital for Art of Elysium, where he often cracks jokes to get the kids laughing. But after the excitement of this weekend, she’s ready to enjoy winding down.
“I just need to be home,” she said. “I just got back from Toronto, I was shooting ‘Resident Evil’ up there, and so we bought a house, we got married and then I left! So now this is a new year and it’s time to spend time with him and it’s amazing. I feel like our love has just grown and it’s the best.”
Ali is said to be reprising her role as Claire Redfield in the new Resident Evil: Afterlife film! This is really great news, as we will be able to see Ali on the big screen yet again, and in another blockbuster no less. Read for more details below:
“Prison Break” hunk Wentworth Miller and “Heroes” babe Ali Larter have joined the cast of “Resident Evil: Afterlife”, the fourth film in the franchise says Blackfilm.
Cast member Boris Kodjoe told the site the news whilst doing promotion for his work in this week’s sci-fi thriller “Surrogates”. In the film, Kodjoe says “I play the leader of the survivors in Los Angeles. Milla Jovovich’s character, Alice, is roaming the world looking for survivors and she’s wound up in LA, which has been burning for three years. She comes across an LA jail surrounded be these half-dead with a couple of survivors trapped inside. She lands on top of the roof and partners up with me to fight the guys that are coming after them. We’re trying to get all of the survivors out of the jail to safety.”
Miller plays one of the trapped people whom they lock up in a cell as they aren’t sure if he’s succumbed to the virus or not. He becomes a key element of their eventual escape. Larter reprises her role of Claire Redfield from the previous film “Resident Evil: Extinction”.
Shooting kicks off this week in Toronto under the helm of returning first film director Paul W.S. Anderson.

"When it comes down to it, at the end of the day, I need more out of my life and I need to push myself harder. And if at the end of the day I don't have it, then I don't have it, but at least I'm going to put myself out there. If I fail, I'm going to fail terrifically."
