American, Jersey Girl Ali Larter has been in the entertainment business for over 10 years now and after being discovered on a faux magazine cover for Esquire Magazine, Ms. Larter has not stopped since. You probably notice Ali from the hit films Final Destination, Legally Blonde, Varsity Blues and most recently Resident Evil: Extinction. Also, Ali is currently a series regular on the award-winning tv show, Heroes on NBC. Ali starred in the box office smash Obsessed in 2009 where she co-starred alongside Beyonce. In 2010, Ali is going to starring in sequel Resident Evil: Afterlife alongside Milla Jovovich and Wentworth Miller.
Obsessed is set to be released on DVD and Blu-Ray on August 4th! The film was a box office sucess in the US back in April and Ali also received many positive reviews for her portrayal of psycho, Lisa Sheridan. Some even said that the film belongs to Ali! You can read more details below about the release, but it’s a shame about the very few special features that are included on there. I will be sure to add captures from the DVD as soon as I get my hands on it!
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced DVD ($28.96) and Blu-ray ($39.95) releases of Obsessed which stars Beyoncé Knowles, Idris Elba, and Ali Larter. Each will be available to own from the 4th August. The only extra material on the DVD will be 3 featurettes (“Girl Fight!”, “Playing Together Nicely”, “Dressed to Kill”). The Blu-ray release will also include a digital copy.
Ali’s first film, Varisty Blues is celebrating it’s 10 Year anniversary by releasing a deluxe edition featuring a whole new bunch of features, including an unseen Ali Larter audition! It will be out on both DVD and Blu-ray on the 15th September. The film also stars Ali’s friend, Amy Smart who persuaded Ali to audition for a role in the movie. You can view further details about the release below:

On May 14th, Ali headed out to the Los Angeles opening celebration of “Venus Revisited” hosted by Resurrection Vintage. Ali wore a nice casual, but classy top that reveals some skin and took pictures alongside fiancé Hayes MacArthur, 3-Way co-star Gina Gershon and Kelly Lynch. There are currently only a few pictures from the event, but hopefully we’ll find more soon! In other news, Ali has taken the time to pick some artist pieces to be sold for Ali’s close charity, The Art of Elysium. Ali has chosen pieces by Nino Munoz and Henry Diltz and Russell Young to benefit the charity, and you can place a bid here.
Ali took part in a small video to promote the upcoming Heroes for Autism event taking place on April 19th at the Avalon, Hollywood. The cause is to raise awareness and money to find a cure for autism. You can watch the promo below, where Ali discusses autism with co-stars Jack Coleman and Cristine Rose. I have added captures to the gallery, and it was a shock to see that Ali has got bangs! She really suits them, and I can’t wait to see her at the event. In other news, Ali will be on The Today Show on April 24th!
Ali hasn’t been out much lately to any events, but she will be soon to do some press for Obsessed which comes out on April 24th! Meanwhile, she was recently spotted on a walk with her two dogs, Eleanor (a wheaten terrier) and her newest addition to the family, a german shepherd which we don’t know the name of yet. Other candids are of Ali out with her friends and having dinner with her mother, Margie. To finish, you need to put two dates in your calendar! Ali will be appearing on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on April 23rd and on Live with Regis and Kelly on April 24th to promote Obsessed and the finale of Heroes.
Today we have a rare treat for you! Ali was on the cover of the March issue of Cosmopolitan Mexico! The scans feature a gorgeous new outtake from the February issue of Cosmopolitan USA. Unfortunately, the article is the same inside so I have added the new pages featuring Ali. Also, remember that Heroes is on tongiht at 9pm on NBC. It’s centered on Tracy so don’t miss it! We will have captures and videos from the latest episodes up tomorrow.

"When it comes down to it, at the end of the day, I need more out of my life and I need to push myself harder. And if at the end of the day I don't have it, then I don't have it, but at least I'm going to put myself out there. If I fail, I'm going to fail terrifically."
